what to expect

local new york tattoo artist Angel has designed a thoughtful learning curriculum to be digested in three parts. these sessions can build as you go or you can take individually!

ad hoc or as a package:

individual Sessions - $100/each (June 6th, 20th OR 27th)

package of three sessions - $250 (June 6th, 20th AND 27th) — at checkout, pay total amount but still rsvp to all sessions!

session 1 - 6/6 - let’s learn the basics!

the first session will focus on getting used to the machine, we’ll be learning lines, spend time free styling tattoo on fruit for practice and we will learn how to stencil on fake skin (it’s harder than you think!)

pre-work [optional] - feel free to find reference photos for inspiration during free style time!

session 2 - 6/20 - let’s get shading!

in our second session we’ll start with a warm up practicing on fruit. then we’re going to move practice tattooing with our fake skin we stenciled in session one. our focus will be lines, adding in filling in spaces (blacking out).

pre-work [optional] - If you have a design you’d like to practice in session three, Angel can give you feedback live ahead of stencil printing!

session 3 - 6/27 - let’s get customizing!

in our third session, we’ll start with a warm up to get used to using the machines again. then we’ll move into color packing, lettering, and you’ll get to practice your custom design stencil on fake skin! as always, there will be time for free styling :)

what to expect

LA healer and poet Jen Dale will be gracing brooklyn with her ayurvedic knowledge as she guides us through her approach to salt scrubs and bath salts. through the course of three hours, you will learn the best oils and ingredients for your skin type, how scent and herbs affect your mood, psyche and focus, you will make your own scrubs and salts, and end with designing your own labels!

local artist Heather Abshire will be facilitating a guided acrylic painting workshop covering the fundamentals and technique. through shape and color, we will dive deep into the human experience and the creative expression of it. over the course of three hours, we will learn, paint, eat and converse with one another :)

a spring equinox celebration of renewal and rebirth

what to expect

at its core, in bloom is a gathering designed for creative exploration. the night will focus on self-guided watercolor activities with you and the guests around you. with a cozy, intimate atmosphere featuring fresh flowers, inspiration will flow. you will be encouraged to interact with other guests, enjoy wine pairings and light snacks, and we will close with a short tea ceremony.
